What is Amigo?
Amigo is a cellular provider in Israel serviced by Motorola.

Who uses Amigo?
Amigo is used by many families, businesses, groups, schools, Magen Dovid Adom, Hatzoloh, the IDF (Israeli Army) and many more.

What are the advantages to Amigo's network?
Amigo provides both cellular and a separate two way digital radio connections. The Push To Talk, two way radio system operates even when traditional cellular is interrupted.

What is Push To Talk?
Push To Talk is the one touch walkie talkie connection (similar to Nextel). With the push of a button you can instantly speak to one person or to a group of people.

What do I do if I need help or service in Israel?
One call connects you to our dedicated Amigo-US service line with English speaking technicians who are ready to assist you at all times by dialing *1818 from your phone or 057-903-1770 from any phone. Click here for a list of service centers throughout Israel.

When will I get my phone and number?
Phones will generally arrive three to four days prior to departure and will include you phone number.

How do I use my phone?

How do I dial an international destination?
Amigo make dialing international destinations simple. From the amigo phone, hold the 0 for two seconds, the 0 will become a +, now simply dial 1, the area code and the number. (for example to dial the Amigo-US NY office press and hold the 0 when you see the + dial 17182585200, so i.e. +17182585200)

How does the billing work?
Itemized invoices are generated at the end of each month with the billing period ending on the 15th of that month. A customer whose trip extended beyond the 15th will receive a second invoice. Invoices are sent either to the e mail account you have designated on your application, or if you choose a hard copy can be mailed for a small fee and charges are billed to your credit card 48 hours later.

What should I do if my phone is lost or stolen?
Dial *1818 from any Amigo phone or 057-903-1770 from any other phone and report the phone lost and to suspend the service, be sure to ask for a confirmation number. Then call the Amigo-US NY office (+17182585200) to file a lost phone report. Customers are responsible for all calls on the phone until the service is suspended.

Does my Amigo phone work in the USA?
Yes, However using your Amigo phone outside of Israel will incur roaming charges of $3.50 per minute plus airtime for incoming and outgoing calls.

How do I return my phone?
Phones must be returned or postmarked within 48 hours of your return to avoid late fess.

What is a credit card Authorization?
An authorization is different from a deposit because the funds are not actually taken from the account. Your bank will place a hold of funds against your credit card's available account balance. Once the authorization is released, the funds are then available to be used. Authorizations are automatically released when your credit card is charged at the end of your rental.

What is a Security Deposit?
A deposit is an actual charge taken from your credit card account. The money will be held until your phone is returned and your final statement has been processed. When your final statement is processed, your credit card will be refunded or charged accordingly.
